About

I make work which oscillates between the observed and remembered. I am interested in the relationship between images and the unconscious, looking for the small things that tip an image from the unknown into the recognised and then back into the unknown. My current work comprises of a series of drawings using pastel on paper, chosen for it’s agility and tactile qualities. I am intrigued by how the application of material to surface can illicit a sensory and emotional affect even in an increasingly screen based culture.
