This work investigates the pictorial characteristics related to the theme of the Madonna with child, very assiduous in the paintings of the past. The chosen colours reflect those used by the old masters to paint the figures of the child (Pink) very often represented semi-nude, and of the mantle of the Madonna (Ultramarine Blue). In other paintings of the same series, I usually make this chromatic contrast more sparkling. In this one, however, the act of spraying a colour on top of another release a sense of homogeneity and restfulness.
