When I was 14 years old, I started to paint. After that I continued to study painting in Seoul and at the Kunstakademie in Düsseldorf. I like to paint daily scenes. For me that still seems very nice and interesting as we work on earth, live and enjoy little moments. As if I were an alien human, I often see the scene as an observer. When I paint this scene on the canvas, I think about many things. Not only painterly composition and colors, but also about elements, philosophy of life, personal experiences in life and about humanity in the universe. When I think of universe, small everyday things seem even more interesting and valuable to me. What we see with our eyes is not everything. Of course, there is also something we do not see, like the air in the habitat. Often I like to leave some places in my picture empty almost without color. Because I believe that there can be more air invisible, and that the picture can breathe better. It seems to me spiritual. What is visible and what is not visible. I like to leave together in my composition.
