Renowned painter Alberto Giacometti (Geoffrey Rush) randomly meets his old friend James Lord (Armie Hammer), an American critic and asks him to model for his current portrait for a couple of days. Lord is flattered and days turn into weeks that reveal Giacometti's genius but chaotic vision.
2. Girl with a Pearl Earring (2003)
Griet (Scarlett Johansson) must go to work as a maid for painter Johannes Vermeer (Colin Firth). While house-keeping, Griet and Vemeer develop a peculiar, secret friendship. When art patron Van Ruijven (Tom Wilkinson) commissions a painting of her, Vermeer and Griet have to spend long hours alone together.
3. Loving Vincent (2017)
In a story depicted in oil painted animation, a young man visits the last hometown of painter Vincent van Gogh to deliver the disturbed artist's final letter and starts finding out about the van Gogh's final days.
4. I shot Andy Warhol (1996)
Based on a true story, Valerie Solanas (Lili Taylor) is an aspiring writer who moves to New York City and supports herself with prostitution. Valerie meets artist Andy Warhol (Jared Harris) and tries to convince him to produce her play "Up Your Ass."
5. Pollock (2000)
The film takes a look at the life of the exceptional painter, Pollock (Ed Harris). It depicts his struggles with self-doubt and strife between needing to express and isolating himself.
6. Big Eyes (2014)
In the late 1950s and early '60s, artist Walter Keane (Christoph Waltz) becomes successful and famous for his portraits of big-eyed waifs. However, no one realises that the real creator of the paintings is his wife, Margaret (Amy Adams).
