ARTPIQ presents:

NATURE – A multi-layered artistic exploration

Munich, November 2025 – Under the title “NATURE,” ARTPIQ, in collaboration with the architecture firm Mirror, invites you to an extraordinary exhibition devoted to the complex relationship between humans, nature, and space. Three promising artists from Europe present works that illuminate the theme of nature from very different perspectives while simultaneously creating a connection between materiality, identity, and time.

Daniel Roibal

Daniel Roibal (1994, Palma de Mallorca) is a young artist based in London who is currently pursuing his Master’s degree in Painting at the Royal College of Art (2024–2025), after completing a BA in Fine Arts at Chelsea College of Arts, University of the Arts London (2021–2024). His work combines abstract forms and intense use of colour with subtle, personal elements that reflect his own life journey and his fascination with the world.

Roibal’s works have already been shown internationally, including in PANORAMA (Galería Fran Reus, Palma de Mallorca, 2023), Butterfly Effect (D-Contemporary, London, 2024), Canopy of the Anthropocene (Hoseo ArtProjects, Seoul, 2024) and Art Actions (HartHaus, Hong Kong, 2025). Solo exhibitions include Pilotism: The Millennium Nomads in Beijing (2024) and Mindscape from the Chair (LABIBI+REUS, Spain, 2025). In the same year, he also completed a residency in Palma de Mallorca. His works are an emotional reflection on the impact of humans on nature and invite viewers to engage in an intimate exploration of their environment.

Anna Lisei Math

Anna Lisei Math (1990, Borken, North Rhine-Westphalia) complements the exhibition with paintings that weave together organic materiality and stylised forms from nature. She began her artistic training in 2011 at the Kunstakademie Münster, which she completed in 2021 as a master student of Prof. Michael van Ofen. Math has shown her work throughout Germany in renowned institutions, including Kunsthalle Niendorf (Everyone but Caspar, 2024), Kunsthalle Münster (Förderpreisausstellung der Freunde der Kunstakademie MS, 2022), the State Parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia in Düsseldorf (Kunstpreis des Landtags NRW, 2022), as well as in solo projects such as das weite Feld (Regional Court of Münster, 2021), Nachtteppich (Emsdettener Kunstverein, 2025) and gleich einem Igel (dst.galerie, 2024). For her work she has been awarded the VR-Bank Westmünsterland scholarship and the Kickstarter scholarship of Stiftung Kunstfonds (both 2022).

With understated beauty, she places seemingly botanical creations in space – opaque, enigmatic forests shot through with a kind of regular irregularity that recalls natural growth processes. Her paintings shift between warming melancholy and quiet artificiality and open up imaginative spaces: shadowy ruptures in floral patterns become voids that appear, like “darkenings”, as entry points into other realities – as protective spaces or projection surfaces. In this way, Math addresses the symbiotic relationship between humans and nature and asks questions about sustainability and the limits of our living environment.

Elisa Carutti

Elisa Carutti (1991, Milan) combines painting and sculpture in her artistic practice to create a sensuous, multi-layered visual language. She studied at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera in Milan (BA Painting, 2014) and completed her MFA at the renowned Slade School of Fine Art, UCL, London (2018). Her education was complemented by an Erasmus year at the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris (2013).

Carutti’s works are characterised by a strong sense of materiality and formal tension. She uses the structure of her canvases to address questions of identity and the perception of time. Her works have been shown, among others, in Derive (Gate44, Milan, 2022), Crisalide (Nexus Artspace, 2021), L’eterno femminino (Galleria Rubin, Milan, 2024), Mineral (Amélie Maison d’Art, Paris, 2019) and Paper Cuts (Saatchi Gallery, London, 2018). She has received numerous awards, including the Slade Summer Residency (London, 2018) and the Joya: AIR Residency (Granada, 2017), and was a finalist for the Art Liberty Prize and the Premio Combat.
