Artist Info: Fleur Yearsley is a Manchester-based visual artist working across painting and installation, exploring memory, gender and pop culture through bold, immersive works that update classic painting motifs with humour, tenderness and “Northern grit” drawn from everyday life. She earned an MFA in Fine Art from the Slade School of Fine Art (2017) with support from the Gwen John Scholarship, and her painting To The Moon and Back was selected for the John Moores Painting Prize 2020. Artist Info: Ed Broner (b. 1971, Paris) is a French artist blending contemporary art, street culture, and raw emotion. Originating from the late-1980s Paris graffiti scene, he studied at Art Academy Charpentier before moving to Berlin to focus on painting and photography. Artist Info: Lars Kreyßig (b. 1981, Leipzig, Germany) is a Cologne-based artist working in drawing, painting and photography. He studied at the European Film College in Denmark and at the Academy of Media Arts Cologne, graduating with distinction in 2007. His practice centres on minimal line drawings and abstract works built from meticulously repeated dots and lines—some containing hundreds of thousands of individual marks—which he describes as “little sculptures” on paper. In the series Translating the Becher Houses he pays homage to Bernd and Hilla Becher, turning their iconic framework-house photographs into reduced, architectural compositions of lines, angles and patterns.
