My paintings embrace the decorative, unashamedly referencing famous leading ladies and ballerinas. I look to strong female role models to inspire me. My works are titled after my heroes: Marilyn Monroe, Grace Kelly and Audrey Hepburn who have all changed my life and are a fitting inspiration for these abstract works. I have now also brought in references to my favourite ballet dancers such as Maya Plisetskaya, Moira Shearer who are particularly strong role models for me. My aim is to make beautiful paintings and to not be ashamed of that.
